BodyFX is a new, FDA Approved, long lasting, non-invasive solution to reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite and stubborn fat pockets. BodyFX works to reshape and contour your body and provides a non-surgical and safe alternative to liposuction. BodyFX may also be used 1-3 months post liposuction to touch up those stubborn fatty deposits or any irregularities that liposuction may have created.
BodyFX uses a combination of different clinically proven modalities including radio-frequency, deep tissue heating and suction coupled negative pressure in order to distribute heat into targeted tissue and underlying fat cells. This process causes skin tissue to heat and contract.
Once the targeted tissue reaches the optimal temperature a second energy pulse is delivered which is responsible for killing the fat cells (through a process called apoptosis). The heating effect stimulates collagen which helps to tighten skin while the secondary pulse decreases local fat deposits and improves the overall appearance of cellulite. It can be used all over the body to firm skin and reduce fat.
During your consultation for BodyFX New York City Aesthetic Specialists at SoVous Med Spa will help you determine which procedure is best for you. For some clients, a combination of two InMode radio-frequency devices, the BodyFX and Forma Plus, to treat cellulite may be necessary.
The BodyFX attacks the fat cells to shrink, and kill them (through a process called apoptosis). The Forma Plus is then used to help tighten any skin around the area, to further reduce the appearance loose skin. These treatments can improve the appearance of both small and large areas.
Most individuals find the treatment comfortable. Patients may feel a warming sensation and gentle pulling during the treatment. Right after the treatment patients will notice redness, warmth and mild swelling to the treated area which subsides after a few hours.
Results improve with each consecutive treatment. It is recommended that 8 treatments are performed to each treatment area each week for 8 weeks.
