Multi-Faceted Rejuvenation
Multi-Faceted Rejuvenation
At SoVous Med Spa New York Restylane-L facial rejuvenation treatments can restore the youthful appearance of your skin, as well as provide a renewed outlook on life. There are a variety of conditions that can make us appear older.
As collagen production declines with age, we are likely to notice our skin becoming less and less elastic, voluminous, moisturized, and energized. When we notice ourselves looking older or tired, we might begin to feel older and less energized or even notice a decline in our self-esteem. Our perception of ourselves can greatly influence how we feel, and a Restylane-L treatment at SoVous Med Spa can help you achieve the beautiful, natural, and rejuvenated look you want.
Restylane-L is the original Restylane dermal filler, and a versatile treatment option for those who would like to enhance or restore volume, smooth wrinkles or folds, or promote skin health and protein structure in the face. When injected just beneath the skin, Restylane-L delivers instant volume to target areas.
A primary ingredient in Restylane-L is hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs within the body and which plays a significant role in skin elasticity, collagen and elastin structure, and moisture retention. Patients can expect to see an instant improvement in volume, as well as ongoing improvement of the skin’s condition for months in treated areas.
Restylane-L enhances the skin’s elasticity, hydration, texture, and volume. A single short treatment produces results that can last as long as 18 months. Restylane-L injections are minimally invasive and require no downtime.
Affordability, convenience, and stunning results make Restylane-L an ideal option for patients who want a big return on a small investment in their appearance. Restylane-L is FDA approved to reduce signs of aging in the lower portion of the face. Restylane-L is most commonly used to smooth nasolabial folds (the folds which run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth), and to enhance the lips.
When you arrive for your Restylane-L injections, your skin will be cleansed and a topical anesthetic may be applied. Depending on the area being treated, injections may take 15 to 30 minutes.
Discomfort is minimal due to lidocaine within the Restylane-L solution and topical anesthesia, though some patients may experience a mild pinching sensation upon injection. After the injections are complete, you will be free to leave and return to your regular daily activity.
Recovery from Restylane-L injections is extremely minimal. There is absolutely no downtime, though some patients may experience redness, swelling, itching, tenderness, or bruising at injection sites. These conditions are generally mild and usually last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds, and less than 14 days in the lips. It is important to avoid extreme heat and cold. Alcohol and certain medications may thin the blood and increase the chance of bruising and should be avoided for 24 hours following your procedure. Strenuous exercise should also be avoided for 24 hours.
While you will notice an immediate increase in volume in treated areas, full results take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to appear as the solution settles beneath the skin. Due to the effects of the hyaluronic acid within Restylane-L, you can expect to see a continuous improvement in the skin’s texture, hydration, and elasticity for months following injection.
Results from a single Restylane-L treatment can last up to 18 months and can be maintained with proper regular skincare and follow-up treatments.

Patients with a history of cold sores may experience an outbreak after Restylane-L treatment. Restylane-L should not be given to patients with ongoing pimples, skin sores, hives, cysts, rashes, or infections near the treatment site. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not receive Restylane-L injections.
