When you arrive for your treatment with Juvederm Vollure NYC aesthetic specialists will cleanse your skin and a topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area. Once the area is numb, the solution will be injected into the target areas.
You may feel some pressure during injections, but the discomfort should be minimal. The number of injections will depend on the area or areas being treated, and injections can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour. Once the procedure is complete, you will be free to leave and return to your regular daily activity.

Most healthy adults can safely receive Juvederm Vollure injections. However, patients who have a history of multiple severe allergies or anaphylaxis, or who are allergic to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacterial proteins should not receive Juvederm Vollure. Also, patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding may not be candidates for dermal fillers.
Most patients experience minimal discomfort due to lidocaine within the solution and the use of a topical anesthetic. You may experience some slight discomfort during and shortly after the procedure, but such discomfort is typically extremely mild and short-lived.
Only one treatment is needed and results can last 18 months. Results can be maintained with regular skincare and follow-up treatments, as the solution is eventually absorbed by the body.
While Juvederm Vollure and Volbella work similarly, there are slight differences in the formulas which make each better suited for specific needs. Juvederm Vollure has a thicker consistency, making it ideal for correcting moderate to severe folds such as those which run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Juvederm Volbella has a more delicate consistency and is a better treatment option for loss of volume or fine lines in areas such as below the eyes and around the mouth.
