Juvederm Ultra Plus injections require very minimal recovery, and you will be able to return to work and other activities immediately. Some redness, bruising, or swelling may occur following injections but should subside within a week.
It is recommended that sun exposure, strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, and applying makeup are avoided for the first 24 hours.

Side effects are minimal with Juvederm Ultra Plus. Adverse reactions at injection sites may occur but should resolve within one week. Such conditions may include swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, firmness, itching, or discoloration. Rarely, more serious conditions may develop including skin necrosis, stroke, damage to the facial structure, blindness, cerebral ischemia or hemorrhage, or vision impairment.
Juvederm Ultra Plus is generally a good treatment option for healthy adults who would like to erase moderate to severe lines or enhance volume in the face. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who are receiving immunosuppressive therapy should not receive Juvederm Ultra Plus.
