Dr. Merieme Klobocista is triple board certified in Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Oncology. She is an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. She is also the director of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Medical Center Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology , Gynecologic Oncology Service. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed the Felix Rutledge Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX followed by a second Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine.
Prior to her medical degree, Merieme followed in her father's footsteps and became a Physician Associate. After graduating from Wagner College Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in Physician Associate Studies and working for a year in Obstetrics & Gynecology, she decided that she wanted to go to Medical School and further her medical repertoire. She is the principal investigator in a number of clinical trials rare uterine tumors. In addition to clinical trials, her research interests are in palliative care and survivorship in gynecologic cancer patients.
Her constant exposure in a female centered environment has left her with a deep understanding of the sensitive side of ageing that women face with fluctuations in hormones, be it naturally or post-chemotherapy. This exposure ultimately led to her interest in the cosmetic side of gynecology and facial aesthetics. In 2014 she joined forces with Lisa Harman, PA-C and SoVous Aesthetics as medical director and aesthetics provider in order to perfect her skills and offer her patients another layer of comfort. As she grows her facial aesthetics practice she will complete additional training in the area of cosmetic gynecology.
